1980’s Paolo clip-on earrings featuring the iconic green and red enamel web stripes. This pair draws heavily from classic Italian equestrian motifs and showcases gold-plated stirrups in a door-knocker design. Stamped “Paolo” on the backings and measure 1” x .5” with secure clips. Excellent vintage condition. Paolo was the grandson of Guccio (the founder of the main fashion house) and served as the chief designer and vice-president of in the late 1970’s. Following intense family legal battles, he launched his own independent brand, Paolo , in the 1980’s. His standalone pieces are celebrated today as highly collectible vintage items reflecting the decade's love for dramatic, bold, and theatrical statement jewelry.
