The series was serialized in the manga magazine Comic Burger by Scara starting in 1987. It depicts the exploits of detective Furinji Goku, who, due to a chance event, has a terminal implanted in his left eye called the Eye of God that can access all computers. Set in Tokyo in 2014, it is a sci-fi hardboiled action story. As it was serialized in a seinen magazine, it features more erotic and violent depictions than Terasawa's previous works published in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump. Additionally, some enemy character designs are the same or similar to those in Karasu Tengu Kabuto, which was serialized concurrently in Shueisha's Fresh Jump.

The work depicts a near future where everything is linked to computers as seen from 1987, presenting a world that anticipated today's increasingly IoT-driven society. On the other hand, as the Soviet Union still existed as a nation at the time of serialization, the political situation, including country names, depicted in the work reflects past settings from today's perspective.
